Thea The Band delivers “Cosmic American” music—a heartfelt blend of lyric-driven folk, soulful blues, and toe-tapping rock. Fronted by Ramona-based singer-songwriter Thea Tochihara, this project offers a unique sound rooted in her Denver origins and shaped by her journey westward to San Diego.
Thea’s music is a captivating mix of country/folk authenticity, soulful blues, and indie rock influences. Her songwriting often explores the themes of love, heartbreak, and the battle between virtue and vice—a reflection of her upbringing in a strict Catholic household. These songs are more than just melodies; they are stories lived and lessons learned, with a timeless message of love, hope, and honesty.
Whether performing solo in an intimate setting or with a full band, Thea’s desire to connect deeply with her audience is always evident. Her music invites listeners to embrace their true selves, reminding us that in our differences lies our common humanity.
