The Building
The press is located in the historic Pilot Building in downtown Steamboat Springs, where Northwest Colorado’s first newspaper, The Steamboat Pilot, occupied the space from 1909 to 1999.
Our venue name, the press, stands as an ode to the rich history and decades of stories that have been shared within our walls.
We strive to continue fostering a space that creates stories worth sharing for people on and off our stage.
The Experience
The press aims to be the best music venue this side of the Mississippi.
From an intimate listening room experience to a packed dance floor, the press is a highly dynamic space that hosts a wide array of experiences.
Our small team works from a place of passion, commitment, and gratitude to make our venue a safe, memorable, and fun experience for everyone “21 and above.”

Our house sound system has received numerous positive reviews from artists and guests of all musical backgrounds.
