Coming back to the press stage is Nederland, CO jam band River Spell!
Formed in 2022, River Spell is a Colorado-based jam band delivering heartfelt songwriting and extended improvisation. The band features Grant Livingston on acoustic guitar/vocals, Ben Maillaro on electric guitar, Jake DeMarco on bass, and Dylan French on drums.
It’s a night with two of Steamboat’s famed local musicians. Joe Ghiglia (of Leaner Lunker) and Randy Kelley (of Worried Men) are coming together for a duo show as “The Naturals.” Joe’s bringing his guitar and Randy’s got his fiddle and guitar in tow.
With roots deep in the Yampa Valley and eyes set on stages across the West, The Flattops are more than just a band—they’re a Colorado sound you won’t forget. The Flattops features local legends: Randy Kelley, Eric Baker, and Lucus Mouttet.
Kind Hearted Strangers is an evolving cast of musicians led by singer/songwriter Marc Townes. Tracing its origins to the foothills of Colorado, 2025 finds the band creating and touring out of Nashville, TN. As the name implies, the project acts as the primary vessel for Townes’ artistic endeavors, as he has been joined by a variety of musicians for each album cycle. With a foundation built on well-crafted songs, KHS has evolved into a dynamic live band capable of bridging the gap between all-out rock ’n’ roll and harmony-driven acoustic roots.
The band’s latest LP, entitled Now.here, features a collaboration with visual artist/painter Dylan Lynch. This immersive project found the group working in a shared Richmond, VA warehouse space for five days. With no prepared material, the artists intentionally put pressure on themselves to create and deliver a live concert and art exhibition at the end of the week. The resulting album contains brand-new material that was recorded live with the same raw energy and passion KHS has been delivering across the country during their busiest era of touring to date.
Ranford Almond will be starting out the night at 7:30pm and Mighty Holler will follow! $10 entry will get you into BOTH shows!
Ranford Almond – Bringing the soul from Greensboro, North Carolina, Ranford Almond is a young singer/songwriter and trobador that has begun to make his mark across the Southeast. Raspy fresh vocals meet the Appalachian strings of Ranford’s guitar, reminiscent of John Prine and Townes Van Zandt with his own unique stamp. Furthermore, his talent extends far beyond composition and strumming, as he is a warrior with the electric as well. Ranford plays as a solo artist as well as fronting a full band. He also plays lead in the Greensboro based psychedelic folk collective Viva La Muerte.
Mighty Holler – Born out of a love of making music together, Mighty Holler was formed! This group, or couple of couples, brings a connected energy to their performances. They enjoy bringing a variety of styles to their shows, including old time, bluegrass, new twists on classic songs, sweet harmonies, and original tunes. Brandy Ray (vocals, songwriting, mandolin), Elle Michelle (vocals, songwriting, banjo), Joshua Ray (vocals, songwriting, guitar) and Joe Gibb (bass), bring multiple years of performance experience and musical sensibility to their shows and are a delight to enjoy.
