Tyler Grant & Nabanita “Bonnie” Sarkar toured India together in February 2024 as members of The Bluegrass Journeymen. They forged a friendship & musical connection that bridges the worlds of Bluegrass, Americana, Bengali Folk & Rajasthani Folk. They are both prolific songwriters with wide-reaching branches of their own styles. Bonnie, from Kolkata, West Bengal, is trained in Classical Hindustani singing, and Tyler is a National Flatpicking Champion & guitar virtuoso. This is the only appearance by the duo in Steamboat, and an ultra-rare opportunity to meet Bonnie & hear her wonderful music while she is in the US this Summer on a student visa.
As one of the longest running bands in Steamboat, Worried Men is a four piece band that knows how to jam! The band plays tunes ranging from Grateful Dead to the Allman Brothers, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Bob Dylan. Featuring Jon Gibbs on guitar and vocals; Randy Kelley on guitar and mandolin; and Willie Samuelson on bass.
