Come catch them before their performance at Music Fest!
A self proclaimed Austin “browngrass” band, Sour Bridges is bringing their dirty bluegrass tunes to the mountains of Steamboat Springs!
Sour Bridges actually has its genesis in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. That’s where Long Island-born Pucci and his brother, Matt (lead guitar, mandolin, vocals), were raised. Both are self-taught players, but their musical interests were encouraged by their grandfather, who bought them instruments and even built Bill’s four left-handed banjos. They made their way to Austin in 2007, immediately finding a community of like-minded talents. Their latest incarnation includes Will Vaughan on bass and vocals and Marc Randal Henry on drums and percussion. “He’s a little more of a rock drummer,” says Bill, “so there’s a little bit of a different vibe.”

Morgan McHugh is a singer-songwriter from Bellingham WA. Growing up, immersed in a family and community of musicians, he has been playing the piano, guitar, writing songs, and exploring the catalog of American folk music from a young age. “There’s a real ebb and flow to the process. I’ve spent a lot of time hiking and fly fishing in the mountains rivers. When I don’t have cell service and I’m off the grid, I have a lot of time to think. That’s when the creative process really gets rolling” – Morgan McHugh.
He grew up performing locally with his family band, which included his dad and his two siblings. While being raised on everything from rock n’ roll to American folk music, his influences include that of Neil Young, John Prine, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Morgan’s self reflective lyrics and melodies will take you on an emotional journey of love, hardship, and the search for truth in the modern world.
He his now both solo touring, as well as collaborating with instrumentalist Lucas Lawson, and upright bassist Jayden Kazantsev. They are collectively playing house concerts and small bars around Colorado, Washington, and California.
