DESCRIPTION:Morningside String Duo features local favorites Craig Thornhill and Paul Geppert\, showing off their incredible stage chemistry and beautiful harmonies! \nThe Morningside String Band is based out of Steamboat Springs\, CO. The band formed in 2019 originally as an acoustic trio\, but they’ve since expanded to a 5 piece\, adding percussion and electric guitar\, though they still often play smaller venues as a duo or trio. The band includes: Craig Thornhill (acoustic guitar\, vocals) / Paul Geppert (mandolin and vocals) / Tim Cunningham (upright bass) / Courtney La Zier (electric guitar and vocals) and Gabe Hedstrom (drums/percussion/jokes). \nThe band tends to have an eclectic mix of songs in their live shows\, mixing originals and covers\, rooted in blues\, reggae\, bluegrass\, funk\, jam and rock. All the members of the band have lived in various parts of Colorado for decades and played in many other music projects over the years. The band’s sounds lends its self to live performances\, adapting their setlists and jams/arrangements to the energy of the crowds and venue. The band is known around Steamboat for playing festive outdoor gigs in the spring and summer.

DESCRIPTION:Easy Honey was born out of the small-town innocent college days: the days of walking home under the starry night and springing under the watchful eye of sunny graveyards\, Dairy Queens\, and neo-gothic cathedrals. \nSelby and Darby\, fast friends upon meeting at college in Sewanee\, TN\, instantly began writing songs after hours in the basements of academic buildings. These songs were inspired by both the beauty of the natural world around them and the coming of age romances experienced during this time. \nAfter adding Charlie Holt to the club\, the band honed their live show at college parties and took their batch of songs to record in Nashville. The group has since blossomed\, infusing its singer-songwriter folk roots with an original blend of East Coast surf-rock\, catalyzed by the band’s relocation to the up and coming Charleston\, SC music scene. \nEasy Honey’s witty melodies dotted with catchy hooks serve as anthems of nostalgia for their indie rock audience of daydreamers and nightseekers.
